Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Joseph (Joe) R. Delehanty has joined the firm as a shareholder in its Commercial Litigation Practice. Based in Polsinelli’s Chicago office, Delehanty focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation and business counseling for private equity portfolio companies, closely held businesses and growth-stage enterprises.

Delehanty is a first-chair litigator who represents companies in high-stakes disputes in state and federal courts nationwide. His experience spans contract, shareholder and fiduciary duty claims, trade secret and restrictive covenant matters, and trademark and copyright disputes. He regularly leads case strategy through discovery, dispositive motions and trial preparation, advising clients where business risk and reputational exposure are significant.

In addition to his litigation practice, Delehanty serves as a trusted advisor to companies navigating commercial agreements, employment issues, financings and mergers and acquisitions. He also brings substantial experience in real estate litigation and transactions, including construction disputes, insurance coverage matters and the purchase and sale of commercial property.

Delehanty earned his J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law and his B.A. from Indiana University.
