- Managing the national litigation for a real estate brokerage company representing the broker, and its agents (as both seller and buyer), in both federal and state lawsuits on issues including transactional disputes, title defects, failure to disclose, misrepresentation, and fraud.
- Managing the national real estate litigation for a Fortune 500 telecommunications company involving disputes related to leases, easements, land use and zoning, retail space, property damage claims, and equipment issues.
- Franchise litigation related to the food and beverage, and health and wellness industries, including state licensing, franchisor liability, franchise agreement disputes, lease agreements and property disputes, contract renegotiations, and tort claims.
- Successfully defended a national health care provider against claims arising from an outbreak related to water contamination, which included significant media and public relations strategy, closely working with the State health department and the Center for Disease Control, and analyzing the sources of the outbreak and evaluating the legal options available to my client.
- Successfully defended a software company against a cyber-attack resulting in stolen proprietary product, which included investigation of the breach, working with local and federal law enforcement to identify and locate the perpetrator and participation in the questioning of the individual, with successfully securing the stolen product and recoupment of all attorney costs for client.
- Defended a national purveyor of food products against claims of trademark infringement and fraud, resulting in a successful negotiation and resolution of the case.
- Defended a university against claims of copyright infringement related to a photograph of a national figure who happened to be an alumni of the university.
- Defended a property management company against claims related to tenants’ exposure to mold on the property, including the investigation of the claims, coordination of environmental testing and sample preservation, and litigation of the claims.
- Defending licensing board claims at the state level for professionals in the real estate and health care professions.
- Defending claims in the health care industry related to regulatory compliance at the state and federal level, insurance claims, risk assessment and liability, real estate disputes, cybersecurity, and privacy issues.
- Working with various religious organizations and Dioceses on legal issues related to corporate strategies, real estate, risk assessments, and governance.
