Stewart Day advises public and private companies, health care organizations and private equity sponsors on complex mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and other strategic corporate matters. He represents clients across a range of industries, with a particular focus on health care and other regulated sectors, including technology, insurance and manufacturing.

Stewart has significant experience representing skilled nursing, post-acute care and senior care providers, along with physician practice management companies, private equity funds, strategic investors and other health care entities. He counsels clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, recapitalizations, operational transactions and governance issues, bringing significant experience managing both buy- and sell-side middle market and lower middle market transactions.

His practice includes deep experience in the following areas:

  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Advising buyers and sellers in transactions involving public and private companies, including in highly regulated sectors such as health care and insurance.
  • Health Care Transactions: Guiding health care clients and private equity funds through complex transactions involving health care entities such as physician practices, hospice and senior care providers, pharmaceuticals and health care IT companies.
  • Private Equity: Representing private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures, restructuring and other strategic transactions.
  • General Corporate Governance: Counseling private companies and executive teams on corporate governance, equity issuances, organization matters and day-to-day general counsel issues.
