Lindsay Dailey focuses on domestic and international privacy compliance for health care and technology clients. Specifically, she counsels on GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, FTC, BIPA and other similar data privacy and security laws. Lindsay leverages her prior in-house and privacy experience to provide unique insight and assist clients with: 

  • Optimizing and protecting sensitive categories of information including health data, biometrics, and geolocation.
  • Designing mobile apps, websites, wearables, medical devices and other products and services to include privacy and security safeguards.  
  • Advising on the use of email and telephone/texting practices.  
  • Crafting privacy policies and procedures, guidelines, flowcharts and other privacy resources and tools.
  • Evaluating privacy notices, consents, and other consumer-facing documents.  
  • Negotiating data processing agreements, business associate agreements and other required privacy contracts.  
  • Drafting privacy language for software, cloud and data services, and other technology transactions.  
  • Establishing privacy-minded vendor management and due diligence techniques. 
  • Counseling on data breach incidents, risk analysis and risk management processes.  

In addition to counseling on data privacy matters, Lindsay collaborates with the firm’s litigators in defending clients in regulatory matters focused on biometric data and biometric information, including claims filed under BIPA.

Prior to joining the firm, Lindsay worked with the American Medical Association, American Dental Association, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, and the Illinois Office of Health Information Technology.
