Mark Bussey advises public and private companies, private equity firms and venture funds on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and other strategic transactions. He has significant experience across the energy, mining, materials and manufacturing sectors, where he has advised on multibillion-dollar public company sales, cross-border divestitures and complex private equity deals.
Mark has also led numerous acquisitions, dispositions, combinations and investments in the services, hospitality, consulting and technology industries.
Mark is adept at navigating the structural, regulatory and operational complexities of M&A deals centered on asset-intensive enterprises and businesses in the extractive industries, including transactions involving upstream and midstream oil and gas assets, energy infrastructure projects, large-scale mining joint ventures and industrial carve-outs. He also represents buyers, sellers and investors in recapitalizations, spinouts and growth-stage investments involving both domestic and international assets.
In addition to his transactional work, Mark counsels founders, executives and boards on corporate structuring, capitalization, governance and long-range planning — from early-stage growth through exit. Clients value his ability to combine deep industry insight with practical execution strategy across a wide spectrum of deal types.
