In Polsinelli’s New York office, attorneys working in financial services, real estate finance, technology, outsourcing, privacy and data security, health care, bankruptcy, and intellectual property offer the experience and insight our clients need to keep pace with ever-changing markets and technological innovations.

Polsinelli’s national Bankruptcy and Financial Restructuring practice has a solid reputation and history of success in business loan workouts, Chapter 11 reorganizations, and out of court restructurings. Our presence in New York and in Delaware enhances our ability to provide clients with sophisticated, state-of-the-art advice, as well as complex bankruptcy litigation representation, in two of the preferred forums for complex Chapter 11 cases at an attractive Midwestern price structure.

Our Loan Enforcement practice includes several litigators admitted to New York's state and federal courts who regularly represent clients in mortgage foreclosures, UCC sales, enforcement litigation, intercreditor litigation, and bankruptcy matters.

Attorneys in the Real Estate practice are heavily concentrated in health care-related real estate and also represent developers, domestic and foreign hedge funds, real estate investment trusts, private equity companies, and mortgage and mezzanine lenders in all aspects of commercial real estate law.

Our Real Estate Finance attorneys regularly represent our real estate lending clients, including CMBS lenders, insurance companies, funds, banks and other financial institutions, in acquisition, construction, bridge, permanent and mezzanine financing transactions of all sizes and complexities, involving real estate across the country. We also represent our lending clients, as well as some of the largest commercial loan servicers in the country, in the administration and servicing of commercial real estate loans.

Our technology attorneys focus on transactional work, litigation and strategic counseling in the fields of information technology and other technologies, outsourcing, IP, data-driven business, cybersecurity and health care.  They assist clients in integrating Cloud and mobile computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things into IT infrastructures and business operations.  They routinely handle the IP and IT aspects of M&A and other corporate transactions.  IT and data are transforming business, and our technology attorneys work with the firm’s national technology practice to develop innovative IT and IP structures to solve clients’ problems and capitalize on new opportunities.

Attorneys in our Privacy & Data Security practice work with our national group in handling the full range of cyber incidents, including data breaches, ransomware, malware attacks and employee errors and misconduct.  Our attorneys guide clients in managing privacy risks associated with maintaining and transferring information and provide counsel on statutory and contractual requirements. They work with our technology attorneys in implementing and continually improving IT systems for privacy compliance and cybersecurity.
