Polsinelli Continues Real Estate Momentum with Addition of Emily Hippen in Denver

Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Emily A. Hippen has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Real Estate Practice in Denver. Hippen’s addition reflects the ongoing growth of Polsinelli’s Real Estate Practice, which has added 13 shareholders over the last year, most recently with the arrival of Arteen Mnayan as Head of the firm’s California Land Use Practice.

“Emily brings a sophisticated commercial real estate practice and a strong command of complex transactional structures that will immediately add value to our national team,” said Kraig M. Kohring, Chair of Polsinelli’s Finance, Investment Strategies and Real Estate Department. “Our real estate practice has seen sustained growth as clients turn to us for strategic counsel on high-value transactions. Her experience advising both owners and lenders further strengthens our ability to anticipate challenges and deliver practical, business-focused solutions.”

Hippen focuses her practice on the acquisition, disposition, development and financing of commercial real estate projects throughout the United States. She guides transactions from land acquisition through ultimate disposition and has particular experience in real estate finance, frequently advising on construction, bridge and term financing. She has represented both lenders and owners in loan transactions and previously worked extensively with commercial mortgage-backed securities, including servicing multibillion-dollar portfolios of securitized commercial mortgage-backed loans.

“Denver remains a key and growing market for the firm,” said Amy Kiefer Hansen, Co-Managing Partner of Polsinelli’s Denver office. “Emily’s addition enhances our real estate capabilities locally while further connecting our office to the strength of our national practice. We are excited to welcome her to the team.”

“Polsinelli’s national platform and deep real estate bench create an exciting opportunity to serve clients at every stage of the deal cycle,” said Hippen. “I am thrilled to join a team that is known for its collaborative approach and business-minded counsel. As the market continues to evolve, I look forward to helping clients navigate complex transactions with practical strategies that drive their projects forward.”

Her practice includes a strong emphasis on borrower-side debt needs. She has represented national multifamily developers in connection with agency financing, developers and owners in complex development and portfolio transactions and financial institutions in large-scale construction and syndicated lending matters.

Hippen earned her J.D. from Drake University Law School and her B.S. from Iowa State University.
