In addition, he advises on due diligence, licensing and freedom-to-operate, providing clients with critical insights to guide investment, product development and market strategy.
Sam has guided startups, established technology companies and financial institutions through complex patent landscapes, securing protection for breakthrough innovations worldwide. He has successfully managed large domestic and international patent portfolios and frequently counsels on IP strategy in the context of licensing, competitive positioning and long-term growth.
Before entering private practice, Sam served for seven years as a Patent Examiner at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where he gained firsthand insight into the examination process across a wide range of technologies. This unique perspective enables him to anticipate challenges, streamline prosecution and craft strategies that align with USPTO standards.
