Tyler Weigel is a Shareholder in the Securities and Corporate Finance practice group, where he advises publicly traded companies on a wide variety of securities compliance matters. His practice focuses on SEC regulatory and disclosure requirements, corporate governance matters, Nasdaq and NYSE listing compliance, and securities offerings for clients in a variety of industries, including life sciences, telecommunications, media and technology, and food and beverage, among others.

While at Polsinelli, Tyler successfully completed a two-year secondment at a $25+ billion market cap telecommunications company listed on the New York Stock Exchange. While seconded, Tyler reported directly to the Corporate Secretary and was an integral part of the Securities/Governance team. In this in-house role, he advised management and the Board of Directors regarding a wide range of governance matters. He also reviewed and prepared various SEC filings including proxy statements, annual, quarterly, and current reports, and Section 16 filings. When working with other publicly traded companies on a daily basis, Tyler now leverages this significant in-house experience by applying an understanding of the unique challenges in-house corporate attorneys face.

Before attending law school, Tyler was an audit intern at a Big Four accounting firm, where he worked on the fiscal year-end audits of numerous Fortune 500 companies. This experience, along with his dual undergraduate degrees in accounting and finance, provides Tyler with a unique insight into accounting and financial reporting matters and enables Tyler to better serve public companies when reviewing SEC reports and finding practical solutions to complex financial reporting issues.

Tyler graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, summa cum laude, with an emphasis in Business & Entrepreneurial Law.
