Ursha draws on 20 years of legal experience in the United States and abroad and represents clients in mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions and general corporate matters.
She routinely represents private equity funds and investors on buy- and sell-side of M&A transactions and handles day-to-day legal work for middle-market companies. Ursha often advises clients in add-on acquisitions for portfolio companies and transactions including representations and warranties insurance policies.
Ursha also provides business counseling and helps entrepreneurs, investors and family-owned businesses with general corporate questions, investment decisions, commercial contracts, employment questions and other legal needs. She acts as outside general counsel to many privately held businesses and has spent several months on secondment to an in-house legal department of a regional bank.
Informed by years of experience and understanding of current market terms and trends, Ursha advises clients in a variety of industries, including health care, manufacturing, software, technology, life sciences, insurance, apparel, food, construction and professional services, among others.
Ursha’s diverse and international background helps her effectively negotiate with attorneys from large, international law firms to small legal practices alike.
A native of Slovenia, Ursha helps Slovenian and other foreign companies do business in the United States. She has hosted several international business delegations in the USA and works with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in D.C., the Slovenian Consulate General in Cleveland and Slovenian business owners to promote their businesses in the United States.
Ursha earned a J.D. from Northwestern School of Law, an LL.M. from the University of Chicago, a master's in law from the Heidelberg University in Germany and a doctorate in law in Slovenia.
