David Wicker is a trusted advisor to developers, investors and owners on real estate projects throughout Tennessee and across the country. With more than two decades of experience, David guides clients through the full life cycle of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisition, entitlement, development, leasing and disposition, and he regularly advises on land use and zoning matters that shape the direction and feasibility of major projects. His work spans mixed-use, retail, industrial, residential, medical office and other health care-related developments, as well as renewable energy projects and large-scale portfolio transactions.

David frequently serves as outside general counsel to real estate companies and private investment firms, helping them structure, finance and advance development programs involving residential communities, mixed-use districts and strategic land holdings. He also represents clients in the negotiation of commercial leases for multi-tenant projects and design-centric retail centers, and regularly supports long-term development initiatives that include adaptive reuse, infrastructure improvements and master-planned communities.

In addition to his real estate practice, David advises clients on corporate and commercial matters related to entity formation, joint ventures and credit facilities. He collaborates with stakeholders across industries and jurisdictions to help move projects forward efficiently and resolve issues that arise throughout development.
