Laura Durkin supports the Real Estate practice with an emphasis on acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate properties, including those used for, or to be developed into, multi-family residential, industrial, senior housing and student housing projects. Her responsibilities include due diligence review, especially the review of title commitments, underlying title documents and surveys, preparation of closing documents, coordination of bulk sales release, water certifications and other closing-related matters, along with other department support.

Before joining Polsinelli, Laura worked as a commercial real estate paralegal at other large and mid-sized law firms in the Chicago area. Since she has been in the legal field for more than 30 years, she has developed a strong transactional background and deep experience with complex title and survey reviews. She has significant experience with the title and survey examination of raw land involving joint venture partnerships and construction loans. Laura has also assisted lenders with due diligence reviews and closings.
