Polsinelli Appoints David Gordon Office Managing Partner in Atlanta

Polsinelli is pleased to announce that Shareholder David E. Gordon has been appointed as the new office managing partner of the firm’s Atlanta office. He succeeds Technology Transactions Vice Chair Leslie F. Spasser, who will continue her leadership in the firm’s Technology Transactions and Data Privacy Practice.

“Dave is a proven leader whose impact extends across both Polsinelli and the distressed health care industry. As the firm’s Professional Development Partner, he helped reimagine how we invest in our people, creating a best-in-class development model that has been scaled firmwide. His leadership, vision, and commitment to excellence make him exceptionally well-suited to lead our Atlanta office” said Chase Simmons, Chairman and CEO of Polsinelli. “I am confident in his ability to lead the office and continue delivering exceptional service to our clients. I also want to thank Leslie for her leadership and contributions to the office during her tenure.”

Gordon, who has been with the firm for more than eight years, leads Polsinelli’s national Distressed Health Care Practice, guiding health care providers, investors and lenders through financial distress, restructuring and operational transitions. His work spans the full life cycle of health care distress, from problem-loan workouts and distressed M&A to complex Chapter 11 restructurings, always with a sector-specific lens.

“Leslie has been an outstanding leader and has played a key role in the growth and success of our Atlanta office,” said Gordon. “I am honored to step into this role and excited to continue building on that foundation.”

Gordon earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law and his B.A. from Georgetown University.

Spasser added: “It has been a privilege to serve as office managing partner and work alongside such a talented group of colleagues. I look forward to continuing my practice and supporting Dave in his new role as he leads the office to continued growth and success.”
