- As buyers’ counsel, advised national dermatology, ophthalmology, cardiology, anesthesia, gastroenterology, urology and other specialty MSOs on multiple transactions with industry providers.
- Advised lenders providing capital to health care providers or platforms on health care regulatory issues in industries including medical, dental, pharmaceutical, pharmacy, long-term care, hospice and home health.
- Advised entities on CARES Act health care-related funding (e.g. Provider Relief Fund and Medicare Accelerated and Advance Payment Program), vaccine mandate implementation, and several other regulatory issues stemming from the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency.
- Addressed regulatory issues facing specialties in the radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and laboratory/pathology space, including a proton therapy provider, as they navigate unique issues.
- Advised telehealth providers on structural and regulatory issues, including corporate practice of medicine (CPOM), licensing, payor contracting and more.
- Guided entities through investigations and submissions under the CMS Self-Referral Disclosure Protocol (SRDP) and advised on commercial and governmental overpayments, including issues related to billing and coding errors and anti-markup payment limitation.
- Provided outside general counsel, day-to-day operations and regulatory guidance to health care entities including health systems, ASCs, medical practices and related management entities.
