Robert L. Nelson, Jr. has played a key role in the development and financing of over 150 energy and infrastructure projects globally, including many landmark projects that have won global or regional recognition.

His work in energy and infrastructure spans project construction, development, finance, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and private equity in power, oil and gas/LNG, infrastructure and mining. Bob’s extensive power project experience includes renewable, gas-fired/combined cycle and nuclear energy. In the renewable sector, he has worked on biofuels/biogas, biomass, cogeneration, energy storage, geothermal, solar and wind projects, while his nuclear experience extends from large-scale reactors to SMRs. Bob’s oil and gas work focuses on LNG as well as downstream and midstream projects. His infrastructure work covers data centers, transportation, water/wastewater and sports/entertainment facilities, often involving public-private partnerships. Additionally, he has significant experience with related dispute resolution.
