Integration

The legal profession is not one-size-fits-all, which is why many attorneys specialize their practice to build on areas of interest and expertise. Finding the right law firm to build that practice is just as important when it comes to finding the best fit to build a career and grow client relationships. Many of our attorneys began their careers at other law firms and we value the perspective and diverse experiences that those backgrounds bring to Polsinelli. We are always looking for attorneys who want to take the next step in their careers and join our growing team.

Collaboration

Polsinelli has provided an amazing platform from which to grow my existing and potential client relationships. This starts with a wonderful management team that is approachable and willing to provide advice and resources at a moment’s notice. Polsinelli also has a large group of attorneys across a diverse mix of practices, making it ideal for the ever-expanding needs of our clients. I have yet to find an issue that a Polsinelli attorney has not experienced. The collegial nature of the firm makes it easy to share knowledge and resources across attorney teams. Overall, I have been very pleased with my choice to join Polsinelli.

Becoming Better

One of the cornerstones of our practice is providing timely, practical guidance to our clientele across the broad range of specializations they require. As part of our process of moving firms, we had a chance to speak with many of the professionals at Polsinelli with whom this work would find a home. We were deeply impressed by those we met with at the time and strongly believed Polsinelli was the right fit for our practice. Our experience over the last two years, working with our extraordinary colleagues across a stunning array of subject matters, has vindicated our decision and then some. We have become a truly full-stack offering, and we are a better product than we were before we moved. We know it, our clients know it, and more broadly our market knows it, too. The motions this has created – lateral expansion of existing client relationships, strengthening of partnerships, increased volume of inbound referrals – has enabled us to more than double our practice since we arrived. Crucially, with the help of our colleagues, we’ve been able to do so with no erosion to the responsiveness that our clients value so highly. Put simply, our practice has grown because we’ve become better at what we do, in no small measure because of where we’re doing it.

Diversity and Inclusion

In my search for a new platform/law firm, the factors I considered the most important were honesty, integrity, and fairness, especially in the context of diversity and inclusion. Since arriving at Polsinelli, I have received support to collaborate and grow a Women in Intellectual Property (WIP) community. The purpose of this community is to encourage new relationships and to maintain existing relationships both within the firm and outside of the firm. I am very proud of how inclusive and inviting this community has been for people, especially during these last couple years of isolation. This wonderful diverse community of like-minded individuals continues to grow and expand the message of diversity and inclusion, allowing us to continue to connect and maintain connections both personally and professionally.

Rowing in the Same Direction

I represent hospitals and other health care providers around the country in disputes with health insurance companies. Given the significant market share of the “big five” health insurance companies, it is critical to my practice to remain free of conflicts of interest in being adverse to these companies. Polsinelli’s commitment to being provider-centric is very important to my practice. Perhaps more important for the firm as a whole, this commitment demonstrates the firm’s understanding  of the health care industry and the need to not only be strategically aligned internally, but also with our health care provider clients who are so important to the firm. Our clients take note of the firms that are strategically aligned with them and those who are not. This alignment with client interests sets us apart from many other health care law firms and has helped us bring in several major new health care clients while remaining “in sync” with our health care colleagues pursuing other opportunities with these and other similar clients.
