Polsinelli Adds Debt Finance Shareholder Harsha Sekar in Denver
Am Law 100 firm Polsinelli has welcomed Harsha Sekar as a shareholder in the firm’s Capital Markets & Commercial Lending Practice. Joining Polsinelli’s Denver office, Sekar has distinguished himself as one of Colorado’s leading attorneys focused on the private credit industry, with significant experience advising investment funds, family offices and other types of lenders and borrowers in private credit transactions, fund formations and fund financings. Sekar works with a wide a variety of private credit funds and their managers, including multiple bespoke funds that focus on the investment of public assets in debt securities and/or other types of credit obligations. In addition to his private credit practice, he also represents investment banks and issuers in connection with high-yield debt securities issuances in the public finance space. Sekar is the fifth new shareholder the firm added in Denver in the past year.

Since 2020, Sekar has played a leading role in counseling on the formation and capitalization of one of Colorado’s first-ever, publicly accessible small business loan funds, which has extended several millions of dollars in credit to borrowers across the state.
Additionally, he serves as general counsel for the Centennial State Liquid Investment Pool (CSLIP), one of Colorado’s four local government investment pool trust funds. Sekar received his J.D. from Tulane University and holds a B.A. from Grinnell College.
