Polsinelli Represents Ignyte Insurance on Acquisition Expanding Global Travel Insurance Portfolio
Polsinelli recently represented Ignyte Insurance, a specialty insurance platform focused on acquiring and scaling high-performing insurance businesses, in its acquisition of InsureMyTrip, a leading U.S. travel insurance marketplace.
The acquisition expands Ignyte’s growing global portfolio of travel and travel medical insurance businesses and advances the company’s strategy of investing in established specialty insurance brands with opportunities for continued growth. The transaction also reflects Polsinelli’s continued role advising Ignyte as it executes on its broader growth and investment strategy.
“Our work with Ignyte reflects the role we strive to play for private equity-backed companies pursuing an active M&A strategy: understanding the business, the investment thesis and the objectives behind each transaction so we can help the client execute efficiently and strategically across different stages of its growth,” said Shareholder Paul J. Jaskot, who led the Polsinelli deal team. “By working alongside the Ignyte team across multiple transactions, we are able to bring not only deep transactional experience, but also an understanding of the business and its strategic priorities to each new opportunity. We are pleased to continue working alongside the team as it deploys capital behind an important area of strategic growth. "
Polsinelli has advised Ignyte across a range of strategic transactions and other matters. That longstanding relationship demonstrates Polsinelli’s ability to bring together the right experience and resources across the firm to support private equity-backed companies throughout their lifecycle, from add-on acquisitions and platform growth to portfolio optimization and significant exit transactions.
Polsinelli’s multidisciplinary platform allows its deal teams to provide clients with coordinated support across legal and business issues that arise throughout a transaction, while maintaining the responsiveness, continuity and institutional knowledge that comes from a longstanding client relationship.
In addition to Jaskot, the Polsinelli deal team included Shareholders Valerie R. Brown, Aman Badyal and Ephraim T. Hintz as well as Associates Shannon Hutton, Dawn M. Peacock, Matthew A. Ramsey, Adam A. Garcia and John W. Thomas.
