Polsinelli Represents Focus on Acquisition and Rebrand of The Buckingham

Polsinelli recently represented Focus Healthcare Partners (Focus) in its acquisition of The Buckingham, a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) located in Houston, through a court-supervised auction process following the community’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing.

The community has since been rebranded as Laural Parke Senior Living. The 23-acre property includes independent living, assisted living, memory care and skilled nursing services. Focus is also transitioning the community from an entrance-fee model to a monthly-rent model.
